Need gift ideas on what to get mom for mother’s day? Well you could follow in Justin Bieber’s footsteps and write her a song! Or better yet, gift her Justin’s new song “Turn To You” – a song he wrote for his mom, Pattie Mallette, and was just released for mother’s day weekend. BeTrendMe applauds Bieber on this sweet and thoughtful gift. Releasing “Turn To You” for the holiday gives the song a more sentimental value, especially when the proceeds are going to a charity that helps single moms. “Turn To You” is already moving its way up the charts and will be on Bieber’s highly anticipated album Believe, coming out June 19! Seriously couldn’t love this anymore. I LOVE the song and the Biebs, but what I think is so important is here is that Justin is taking a genuine (and prevalent) issue and making it known. I grew up with a single mother who likewise often worked two (and sometimes three) jobs to support my sister and I, but at fourteen I didn’t understand that there were others in the same boat. I felt embarrassed, alone, and ashamed of my circumstances because NO ONE talked about these issues. It seriously warmed my heart when I listened to Turn To You because not only is he thanking his mother, he’s letting people know that your circumstances do not have to define you and you can become anything with hard work, determination, and persistence. I’m out of college now, but I can’t help but think of the fourteen year olds who will hear this and find some comfort in knowing they aren’t alone.
Seriously adore this kid. And the proceeds going to charity? Could he seriously do any better? Nope. Love him.
