It’s true, it’s true! BeTrendMe is here to break the news that fabulous fashion empire Yves Saint Laurent will no longer be, instead the creative geniuses will be feeding our fashion frenzy from a new title, Saint Laurent Paris. With Hedi Slimane taking over as creative director from Stefano Pilati, the designer label will undergo a rebranding overhaul which incorporates the surprising name change. Reportedly the iconic YSL logo will not disappear, but the definite name change is a tangible effort to revive the company and return to the original YSL fundamentals and true spirit. Slimane is looking to bring Saint Laurent Paris into the future of fashion, releasing his first collections as creative director for Spring 2013, a Men’s collection as well as a Women’s Resort Collection.
