The best part is that you drop the cost, the app is designed so that the information is available for free – tell that one to mom and dad! Next up, “Stanza”, once again offering course material for free! Stanza allows access into a database that holds magazines, newspapers and more than 30,000 classic books! Let your English teachers know that iPhones are a must in the classroom for strictly educational purposes! It’s time to get organized with this next app, “Evernote” which allows you to synchronize and/or type notes, photos and voice memos using your iPhone to the Web, to be later accessed via the app or their website! Talk about high-tech organization! Now that you’re organized, its time to study! With “gFlashPro”, you can use Google or Excel spreadsheets to make a deck of flash cards complete with sound and video! The best part is you can share your newly organized study notes with friends or peers to make group studying and A’s even easier! Speaking of A’s, we move over into the scientific and mathematical departments with the “Graphing Calculator app”. Using your iPhone you can graph and solve many equations and once complete you can email the results, step aside calculus! To balance all of your classes and when you will need which app, “myhomework” now exists to track and organize your class schedule and upcoming assignments color-coding them in order of due date! Just when you thought it can’t get any better, the app syncs all the information on your iPhone to you computer at home! When you need a break from all of the academics, BeTrendMe suggests a social-networking break, with the ever engaging “Facebook app”, equipped with its direct connection to the iPhone camera! Whether you need a synonym for a post of Facebook or a definition for a word in class, the “Dictionary.com app” has you covered providing 400,000 definitions and a thesaurus at your finger tips! To keep everything else at your finger tips, depend on “Documents to Go”, which allows you to sync and view Microsoft files and PDFS on your iPhone or iPod Touch, no missing homework this semester! The last of the top ten back to school apps is not one to disappoint, every student knows how important Wikipedia can be, it may not be credible in a paper, but as a base for knowledge it is the first place any student searches, which is why BTM is loving “Wikipanion”! This app allows you to search and bookmark in Wikipedia for free! Just don’t cite what you find! There you go BeTrenders, with all this technology sitting in your purse or pocket you are well on your way to honor roll this semester!
