Alongside his gorgeous gowns, Oscar de la Renta has now put his brilliant touch on a line of nail polishes. Rather than a huge and intimidating line up, he has stuck to three distinct colors. The three colors under the name, “The Runway Collection”, are a velvety red (Red Carnation), a delicate blue (Larimar) and a dark purple (Aubergine). The choice of colors are to match his brand’s Fall ’12 ready-to-wear show as well as bring out Oscar’s love of deep jewel tones. In fact the soft blue mirrors it’s namesake, a rare stone of Larimar, only found in the Dominican Republic, where de la Renta originates.
