MAC has had so many can’t miss collaborations this year it’s been difficult to keep up, but the project with famed fashion editor Carine Roitfeld has us eager to get our hands on the newest collections. Released this past week on September 6th at MAC counters, the MAC makeup collection echoes Roitfeld signature makeup look that puts heavy emphasis on a dramatic smoky eye. It’s no surprise that the collection is heavy on eye-related items such as mascara, eyebrow pencil, clear brow gel, eyelash curler and even false eyelashes. The big sellers are the two pallets, “Jungle” and “Desert Camouflage”. As you can imaging the rest of the palette not including the eyes is for a toned down, nearly nude makeup look. This is not a collection for those hoping for flashes of color. The smattering of color comes in the one nail polish in “Underfire Red”. Carine’s anticipated “CR Fashion Book” will release tomorrow.
