October is officially Breast Cancer Awareness month and brands are coming out and supporting the cause. E.l.f. has two glosses in Twinkle Pink and Wild Watermelon, in which 100% of the profits will be going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Essie nail polish has created four pink shades for the cause titled: Check up, Good Morning Hope, I Am Strong, and We Are In It Together. A portion of each nail proceeds of the polish will be going to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. Michael Kors has designed a limited edition canvas tote which features a pink ribbon charm. From the bag 50% of the profits will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Fund. Betsey Johnson has also designed a tote bag in honor of Breast Cancer. Betsey is an 11 year survivor and will be supporting the National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund as well as the Weill Cornell Breast Centre where she herself was treated. Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion will be sold this month with a pink ribbon charm, and $10 from the product will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Swarovski has their own Pink Hope collection which supports the Libby Rose Breast Cancer Foundation and their own Pose for Pink Yoga Program. The program offers free yoga classes to breast cancer patients and survivors. GUESS has a limited edition Sparkle Pink watch where 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Popular makeup brand Sephora offers a Pink Eyelash Curler in which the store will donate $1 from each sale to the Breast Cancer Foundation. Sonia Kashuk is also donating 15% of the purchase price of her pink makeup brushes to the Breast Cancer Foundation. UnderArmour has created a pink shirt saying “Go Pink or Go Home”. The sports company will be donating 10% of the proceeds to various Breast Cancer centres and charities. It is so great to see companies getting involved in this important month!
