Halloween Make Up Marilyn Monroe

Hello beautiful BeTrenders! Are you ready for Halloween?

Do you want to look like a glamorous movie star this October? Here is how to get the Marilyn Monroe look! It is super simple and really fun. All you need to ‘get the look’ is foundation, a dark liquid eye liner in black or brown, a red liner and lipstick, soft pink blush,  a eyebrow pencil or shadow, mascara and a finishing powder. The great thing about this look too is that you can use the makeup you already have or use it as an excuse to buy new product! Below are some steps to help you create this look.

Step 1: Lightly foundation your entire face

Step 2: With your soft pink blush dust the color on the upper apples of your cheeks and blend outwards towards your hair line. You don’t need too much color just enough to give some definiton to your face. Step 3: Powder entire face to create a matte finish – powdering after blush helps set your make-up for longer wear.

Step 4: With your eyebrow pencil or shadow and angle brush define your eyebrows (Bold brows are coming back now too so if you need to purchase this makeup item do not fret because you can use it after Halloween and still be in style!)

Step 5: Now with your liquid eye liner create the famous cat eye! To make it the most dramatic start your liner thin at the inner corner of your eye and increase the thickness as you sweep it across your lash line. Following the shape of your lash line will help you create the winged effect. If you mess up don’t worry that is what q-tips and make-up remover is for. For long lasting wear take an angled brush and a similar shadow color to your liner and go over your line to set the product.

Step 6: To finish off your eyes curl your lashes and apply a voluminous mascara.

Step 7: Red lips will add the finishing touches to your look! First line your lips with a red liner and take a Kleenex and pat your lips to set the color. Then cover your lips with a layer of lipstick, repeat the dabbing process with Kleenex and then add a final layer of lipstick. Now this is going to sound weird, but with your index make an O shape with your lips then put your finger in your mouth and close your lips around your finger - this will take off any excess lipstick that might go on your teeth (and no one wants that to happen!)

If you want you to take this look to the next level using your eye liner you can add the beauty mark Marilyn has on her cheek.  This make-up look can also be used for any costume from the 50′s era such as a Pink Girl from Grease or dressing as Audrey Hepburn.

We would love to see what our followers come up with for costumes so tweet us your pictures! We hope you all have a safe and Happy Halloween!
