Toronto Fashion Week: Day 4
Toronto’s fashion week may soon be coming to an end but there are still many exciting designers and collections to see. Some of the memorable shows included Triarchy featured a denim inspired line and Soia and Kyo show us a sping 2013 outwear collection. Rachel Sin shows off a 50s inspired line. Arthur Mendonca was featuring his signature collections for his 10 year anniversary. There were most definitely a number of great looks in these shows that BeTrendMe absolutely loved.
Triarchy was a great show that took denim to the runway. This collection was designed by siblings Mark, Adam and Ania Taubenfligel. This show definitely started to show off a sexy side that truly only featured the jeans, with men going shirtless and women with rope used are corset tops. Although sometimes distracted by these models bodies these jeans were all super cool and BTM loved them. Their jeans included many with an ombre effect, studs, metallic colors and tie dye.
The Soia and Kyo collection featured a variety of great outwear pieces for the sping desgined by Ilan Elfassy. Being from Montreal Ilan is defnitely no stranger to the cold and uses a variety of colors and layers in his collection. Leather was a stand out on the runway, with accents of buckles of zippers. BTM couldn’t help but notice the awesome turbands that the models were wearing on the runway. Although very oversized they looked cozy and warm.
Rachel Sin showed off her feminine side in her 50′s inspired collection. She showcased a cute yet sophisticated look that incporporated a lot of lace and fun colors. This sping to summer collection also featured a lot of scoop back dresses which BTM loves. Rachel Sin is surely a girly girl and highlighted all her feminine qualities is this beautiful collection.
BTM wants to give a big congratz to Arthur Mendonca on his 10th anniversary on the runway. To mark his fashion milestone he created a Japanese inspired collection. His line was defnitely very luxurious with beautiful silk fabrics and patterns. A lot of the outwear was kimono inspired and many of the shirts and blazers featured a madarin style collar. It was a great way to feature and celebrate 10 years.
BeTrenders hope you enjoyed Day 4 of Toronto’s Fashion Week, only one day left!
